EVERYONE IS SO BUSY 24 X 30 Canvas
The last month I have been having fun with mulberry and rice papers, ripped and glued to canvas. The textures vary from smooth to gnarly with thick threads. One plans the design as you rip and glue so when the paint runs over the textures you have some idea what your design will look like. But the rivulets and ripples are a surprise, as are the varied patterns that emerge. The patterns often suggest the theme of the picture. Note Darshan I from my last post. I will soon post more pics to this site soon. I am off to Maui early September so I am warming up in front of Catherine Buchanan's picture of fish in a swarm. Snorkel time!
